Privacy policy for the website

I am very pleased about your visit on my crank organ website. The use of my website is possible without any transfer of personal data, except for the technically necessary IP address transmitted by your browser (otherwise my pages will not find the device where your browser runs) and possibly some other technical data. No further processing of personal data, such as name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject takes place. By means of this privacy policy, I would like to inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of the IP address and other technical data, and explain the rights to which you are entitled.

1. Definitions

The terms used in this privacy policy are straight from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can find out their meaning on any website that explains or presents the GDPR; my favourite one is

2. Name and address of the controller

The responsible person in the sense of the GDPR, other data protection laws applicable in the Member States of the European Union and other provisions with data protection character is me:

Harald M. Müller
Seeweg 7
85567 Grafing
Phone: +4915121717200

3. Data collected

My website collects the IP address and some other technical data transmitted by your browser each time a page is accessed by a data subject. The following data may be collected: (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system accesses our website (so-called referrer), (4) the sub-websites that are accessed via an accessing system on my website, (5) the date and time of access to the website, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system and (8) other similar data and information that serve to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

When using these data, I and my service providers do not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather, this information is needed (1) to deliver the contents of my website correctly, (2) to optimize the contents of my website, (3) to ensure the long-term functionality of my information technology systems and the technology of my website, and (4) to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution in the event of a cyber attack. Therefore, the anonymously collected data and information will be evaluated by me or my agents on one hand, statistically and on the other hand, with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security, and ultimately ensuring an optimal level of protection for the processed data.

4. Routine deletion and blocking of personal data

I and my service providers process the IP address only for the period of time necessary to achieve the purpose of storage—as explained in the previous paragraph—or if this has been provided for by the European Union legislator or another legislator in laws or regulations to which the controller is subject.

If the purpose of storage no longer applies or if a storage period prescribed by the European Directive and Regulation or another competent legislator expires, the personal data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the respective provisions.

5. Rights of the data subject

6. Legal basis of processing

The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. (f) GDPR. By handing over the personal data from your browser, you indicate that processing on my website is more important to you than withholding these few personal data—and I agree with this assessment of yours.
